Goal/Objectives:

To help one understand the importance of self-beautification by teaching them how to enhance their own beauty by way of braiding. Self-beautification improves one's self esteem. If you look good, you feel good. Teaching one how to braid also creates financial freedom and independence as it allows one to become an entrepreneur.

Braiding is not just something you learn, it is a skill that involves braid precision, consistency, creativity, and attention to detail while understanding how to manipulate different texture of hair.

Braiding is a people-persons job, unlike cosmetology stylist, you will spend longer hours on your feet with a single client and understanding that time management is key when providing customer service to your client.

As a braider you will learn the culture and traditions of what has been past down across different generations.

Naturalistic Braidzology Creations Braiding Program not just teaches you the techniques and styles of braiding but also the rules and regulations regarding sanitization and disease transmission. You will learn the human anatomy/biology as it pertains to the scalp and hair. You will also learn strategies to help promote and market yourself for your future success. This program is a 4-week program/ three days a week/ 3 hours a day, totaling 36 hours of training where you learn everything you need to know to become successful in your future business as a braider. At the end of the training, the students will bring in a live model to do their hair, if they cannot find someone, I will assign someone to the student to be apart of a hair show put together by Naturalistic Braidzology Creations. At the end of the program, you will be given a certificate as an Official Braider!

Those who wish to open their own shop need not have a license, as on June 8, 2015, Governor Greg Abbott signed House Bill 2717 into law deregulating natural hair braiding for the Texas Barbering and Cosmetology professions. Which means that YOU DO NOT NEED TO HAVE A LICENSE TO BRAID IN THE STATE OF TEXAS.

Class Pricing & Information

STUDENTS MUST WEAR BLACK PANTS AND THEIR SHIRT! NO EXCEPTIONS!

Students can pick Mornings, Afternoons or Evenings for their training!

Braiding Classes:

Braiding Classes come with a kit for each person:

Mannequin
Rat tail comb
Shine n Jam Gel
Hair clips
Pont tail holders
1 bag of hair (hair depends on style being taught)
Setting lotions
T-shirt
Hair rack (for use ONLY in the class, sold separately)
Certificate (AT the end of the course)

Deposit is 50% due upon booking your class or pay in full during check out.

Remainder due the day you attend the class. Remainder must be paid before entering class. If you need to reschedule your class, there is a one-time transfer deposit to put towards the next class you attend.
Classes will be held on Sundays from 2p-6p (4hr. classes) and Mondays from 4:30p-7:30p (3 hr. classes)
